Reading is my True Love. I read all the time, even the billboards I pass on the road. Manuals are not as fun, but yes, I read those too. Lately I’m reading a lot of thick-page picture books with my 1 year old. Can’t say I hate them. It has to be such a fun job to write these silly little children’s stories. How do I even start as a children’s story book writer? My guidance counselor never gave me that option or I would’ve said YES on the spot.
Anyways, I speak my mind and try to not offend anyone as I go. I’m pretty involved with life and just caring. It’s nice to give and volunteer and all that. Which brings me to my second pastime: running or working out. I do so at least 5 times a week. Sometimes I’m so sore I can barely walk or move my limbs but if there’s no pain then there’s no gain, right? I’m sure I’ve read that one someone’s running shirt at some point.
I run for several groups to help raise money. Race for the cure, march of dimes, etc. Might as well put my love for physical activity to good use.
I recently took cake decorating classes. Of course that immediately makes me a pro at it. (Did I mention I’m always daydreaming?!) Now I bake nonstop with my friend. I don’t always eat what I bake because weight watchers only gives me 26 points a day. So I take what I bake to my family or friends. They’re brutally honest (or they just want me to keep bringing free desserts, IDK) and thanks to their criticism we are seriously awesome. True story, as my baking partner in crime would say.
Thankfully I married the best man in the world and he patiently watches our very active, and totally adorable, one year old. This gives me enough free time to still indulge in all my extracurricular activities.
